Carly Fiorina proved she is a force to be reckoned with this week as she climbed the polls and proved she was a worthy contender at the second Republican debate hosted by CNN. While the other candidates were feeling the heat and the pressure of the night, Fiorina stood with an icy calm presence that never once faltered. The former Hewlett Packard CEO, spoke passionately about Planned Parenthood along with offering a rebuttal to Trump’s disparaging remarks regarding her appearance and not once seemed thwarted by her fellow candidates. In fact, the 61 year old remained perfectly poised the entire night (in high heels no less).
After the debate, all political analysts agreed that Fiorina was the clear winner, however many have questioned if she can rise through the ranks to land the nomination. Currently, she is polling at 4% with Trump at 30% and when it comes to popularity, this election has all eyes on Hillary Clinton as the female nominee in it to win it when it comes to the White House. However, polls and competition have not deterred Fiorina in her quest for the Oval Office.
“I went into this debate understanding that half the people watching had never heard my name and didn’t know I was running for president,” Mrs Fiorina told MSNBC. “I hope what people saw was that I can win this job and I can do this job.”
