Adele fans rejoiced this week when she dropped a musical bombshell on the world that new music would be released this year. After taking a four year hiatus (her last album 21 came out in 2011), Adele is returning to the music scene with her album 25. The album was teased on The X-Factor UK earlier this week when the first single “Hello” was teased. Afterwards, Adele made a formal statement with the album’s release date being set for November 20, 2015. Mark your calendars, fans!

While Adele describes her last album as a breakup album, she released the following statement about her new one:

“My last record was a break-up record and if I had to label this one I would call it a make-up record. I’m making up with myself. Making up for lost time. Making up for everything I ever did and never did.┬áBut I haven’t got time to hold onto the crumbs of my past like I used to. What’s done is done.Turning 25 was a turning point for me, slap bang in the middle of my twenties. Teetering on the edge of being an old adolescent and a fully-fledged adult, I made the decision to go into becoming who I’m going to be forever without a removal van full of my old junk.”

This morning the official video for the first single “Hello” was released and has already garnered 250,000 views. All we can say is move over Taylor Swift, Adele is back.
